A criminal case was initiated in Prosecution Office of Lori on improper implementation of professional duties by medical and support personnel which caused the patient Gurghen Kharatyan’s death.
On 18 November, 2012 at about 9 pm the resident of Margahovit village, Lori region Gurghen Kharatyan born in 1995 was admitted to infectious diseases hospital, who was taken to resuscitation department of Vanadzor medical center with diagnosis of ”Infectious toxic shock, double-sided pneumonia, acute respiratory and cardiovascular discontentment’’. On the same day at about 11:50 pm Gurghen Kharatyan died in resuscitation department of Vanadzor medical center.
In order to find out the reasons of Gurghen Kharatyan’s death a commission forensic examination was appointed during the preparation of materials in Gugarq Investigation Department of Investigation Division of Lori. According to the conclusion received some days ago, Gurghen Kharatyan was not diagnosed correctly, medical treatments were implemented incompletely, not on time, improper and diagnostic, therapeutic errors caused Gurghen Kharatyan’s death.
A criminal case was initiated in Prosecution Office pursuant to the Part 2 of the Article 130 of RA Criminal Code. The criminal case was sent to the Investigation Division of Lori for preliminary investigation.
