Our satellite is flying in space as planned and undergoing planned test operations; Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Avet Poghosyan announced in the National Assembly.
“At the moment, I can say that these actions are happening a little faster than the schedule, the testing is developing more positively than we expected. The financial resources have been allocated, the decisions have been made and by the end of the year there will be a satellite control center in Armenia. We will all attend the opening by the end of the year,” he added.
Notably: on 25 May, 2022, at 22:35 Yerevan time, the first space satellite of the Republic of Armenia was launched into the orbit of the planet Earth by the spacecraft of the “SpaceX” Company. This happened as a result of the cooperation of the Armenian state “Geocosmos” CJSC and the Spanish “Santlantis” Company.
