The main team of 40 people will arrive in Armenia soon. Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomes the launch of the work of the European Union civilian observation mission along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

“I have to record with pleasure that the EU partners responded very promptly and made the decision, the preparatory team is already in Armenia, it is already working,” he announced at the Government meeting.

Pashinyan said that the main team of 40 people will arrive in Armenia soon.

“From the beginning, it was planned that the mission should work for two months, and opinions are heard in our expert field that the period of the observation mission should be extended. I’m not sure about that, but in any case, it’s a topic that’s being discussed in our community. If we see such an opportunity and necessity, we do not rule out that we will study the problem more deeply,” the RA Prime Minister said.
