The Prosecutor General has applied the Supreme Judicial Council with a motion to give consent to deprive one of the judges of the Administrative Court of his/her immunity.
“Based on Article 161, Part 1 of the Judicial Code, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia has filed a motion with the Supreme Judicial Council with regard to the issue of giving consent for instituting criminal prosecution against a judge with respect to the exercise of his or her powers,” the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia reports.
The prosecutor applied to the SJC regarding the authorization of criminal prosecution against the judge in connection with the apparently false data found in the declarations.
