The court session in Armen Grigoryan’s case lasted for a short time; the prosecutor’s chair was empty.
Lawyer Ruben Melikyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“Tigran, the eldest son, was sitting on Armen’s chair. He stated that his father is innocent, and objected to the termination of the proceedings on non-exculpation grounds.
There were only 5 people in the hall, one of whom was a stranger. He was probably a law enforcement officer in “civilian”. No journalist covered the session.
The next session is on 24 October at 10:00. In the same sinister hall.’

It should be reminded that on 15 July, Armen Grigoryan lost consciousness during the preliminary hearings in his case at the Kentron seat of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction. Shortly after, it became known that Grigoryan died.
On 17 May, the National Security Service of the RA reported that Armen Grigoryan was arrested and detained on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 226, Part 2 of the Criminal Code, within the framework of the criminal case initiated in connection with the case of publicly humiliating national dignity.
