President of the UN General Assembly (GA) Abdulla Shahid discussed on Monday the issues of normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. TASS News Agency reported.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister briefed on the current situation and developments in the region, including steps to normalize relations with Armenia.
In turn, Shahid expressed support for efforts to build sustainable peace in the region.
