We will not let you kill Saakashvili: Protests in Georgia

Aliq.ge reports that the youth wing of the Georgian opposition United National Movement (UNM) party gathered today, 4 May, near Batumi State University.

Starting 6 May, the UNM shall announce protests under the slogan “We will not let you kill Saakashvili.”

The protesters demand that Georgia’s Third President, Mikheil Saakashvili, be pardoned and transferred abroad for medical treatment.

“The President who built a modern state should not suffer from the Russian dilemma,” UNM activist Levan Gorgiladze said.

It is mentioned that the “Rose Revolution” arrived in Adjara 18 years ago on 6 May, when the then head of the Adjara Government Aslan Abashidze left Georgia.
