As of 11:00 am, 189 people have been detained for closing a number of streets in Yerevan. the Public Relations and Information Department of the RA Police informed.
The police stated that they had been detained for the act provided for in Article 182 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (failure to comply with a lawful request of the police officer).
The opposition is protesting in different parts of Yerevan, closing the streets.
Earlier, police detained Arsen Babayan, a member of the Homeland party, at the intersection of Proshyan Street and Baghramyan Avenue. RPA Deputy Chairman Armen Ashotyan said that he had been detained by the police.
