The bill on “Armenian Genocide Education Act” has been submitted to the US House of Representatives. The Armenian National Committee of America reported.
“While the horrors of the Armenian Genocide can never be undone, we can ensure that future generations never forget,” Congressman Jim Costa wrote on his Twitter page.
“I am proud to join my colleagues as an original co-sponsor of the Armenian Genocide Education Act.”
It is noted that more than 45 congressmen from both parties supported the Armenian Genocide Education Act.
The bill provides $ 10 million in funding for the Library of Congress educational programs on the history, lessons, and consequences of the Armenian Genocide.
