The Summer School on European Law, which is organized jointly by the Law Foundation of Armenia, Armenian Young Lawyers Association Non-Governmental Organization and German Fund for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) started on 8 July in Aghveran.
In his speech Mr. Karen Zadoyan, head of the Law Foundation of Armenia and Armenian Young Lawyers Association Non-Governmental Organization, said that the idea of the Summer School European Law was generated in 2012. He noted the importance of the European law in the education of the lawyers of new generation as well.
Mr. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of the RA delivered the lecture for the participants. He spoke about the external policies of the RA in European structures and the main directions of cooperation.
The Deputy Foreign Minister referred to the EU Association Agreement. Its ratification will enable Armenia to easily apply the European laws and norms, as well as to ensure Armenia’s security.
Mr. Heinz-Wilhelm Schaumann, the expert from Germany, spoke about the historical background of the formation of the European Union, formation of the European Law, as well as the Structure, Sources and principles of the European Law.
Further, the participant of the Summer School worked in working groups on “Structure, Sources and Principles of the European Law.” The organizers did not forget about the sports events as well. The participants competed in table tennis.
