Kiev must answer about the humanitarian corridors by five in the morning: RF Ministry of Defense

Russia urges Kiev to respond in writing to proposals to rescue civilians in Mariupol and city infrastructure by 5 a.m. Monday, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, Head of Russia’s National Defense Center, told at a briefing on Sunday, RIA Novosti reported.

“We demand an official written response from the Ukrainian side by tomorrow, at 5 a.m., that is, on 21, to all the listed, purely humanitarian proposals of the Russian Federation for the salvation of the people of Mariupol, and the infrastructure of the city,” he said.

It should be reminded that early in the morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine, aimed at ensuring the security of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as removing the “Nazi regime” in Ukraine.

The US and the EU have assessed Russia’s move as a direct aggression by Russia against Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
