Victor Yengibaryan has been appointed RA Ambassador to Germany

On 5 November, RA President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree, which states:

“Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, in accordance with Article 132, Part 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution, and Article 14, Part 1 of the Law on Diplomatic Service: to appoint Victor YENGIBARYAN Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Republic of Germany (residence in Berlin).

He was born on 11 July, 1981 in the city of Talin, Aragatsotn region of the Republic of Armenia.

Studied at the Faculty of Sociology of Yerevan State University.

Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Bochum (Germany) – European Studies – Management of Transnational Corporations.

Trained at the International Center for Parliamentary Studies in London, Hagen Correspondence University.

Studied at Fletcher School-Tufts University, Law and Diplomacy.

Worked in a joint demining program with the UN Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia as a mine surveyor.

In 2005 founded and chaired the European Movement in Armenia.

Provided development and business consulting for the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and UNDP.

Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Secretary General of the European League for Economic Cooperation in Armenia.

He is a member of the Executive Board of the Union of Armenian Academics.

In the 9 December, 2018 National Assembly elections, he was elected a deputy from the national list of the “My Step” Alliance.

In the National Assembly he headed the Armenia-Austria Friendship Group, since 2019 he has headed the Armenian delegation to the Euronest PA, he has been a member of the NATO PA Associated Delegation and Armenia-EU Cooperation and Partnership Committee.

He is married and has two children.
