The head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Yevgeny Zinichev died during the exercises in Norilsk. The Press Service of the Ministry reported.

“We are saddened to announce that the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Yevgeny Zinichev, has died in the line of duty. The incident took place in Norilsk, during interdepartmental exercises, while saving a human life,” the statement reads.

Zinich was 55 years old.
