As a result, we have a prevented Azeri sabotage in the direction of Black Lake (Syunik), and the loss of 2 Armenian servicemen as a result of the shootout in the direction of Yeraskh (Ararat) and Kut (Gegharkunik).
According to the RA Ministry of Defense, the Azerbaijani side also has victims, which Baku does not officially confirm.
Unpredictable events continue in different parts of the border.
“Unfortunately, the parties’ speaking “different languages” in the diplomatic sphere implies new developments at the border,” he said.
Notably, on 16 August, at around 6:10 pm, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces once again resorted to provocation, firing from different caliber firearms at the Armenian positions located in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
