On 30 July, the self-defense detachment of the border village of Khnatsakh in the Syunik region received the warm blankets obtained within the framework of cooperation between the Armenian Hero charity operating in the United States and the “Pyunic” Armenian Association for Persons with Disabilities.
According to Anushavan Hovakimyan, the administrative head of the Khnatsats settlement of the Tegh community of Syunik region, the self-defense detachment was formed during the beginning of the war to organize the self-defense of the village.
“The boys do their work heroically, they participate in all the works. After the fight, the whole pastures were taken from us, that was the most difficult issue. The most important issue in the village is security․ The position is 150 meters away from the village, and the part between us and their position is 10 meters,” Anushavan Hovakimyan said.
Sargis Sargsyan, who is the administrative operator of the Khnatsats settlement in the Tegh community of Syunik region, says that they had connection with Hakob Abrahamyan, the President of the “Pyunic” Armenian Association for Persons with Disabilities, and presented the problems and needs of the community.
The representatives thanked the Emma and Jemma sisters, who coordinate the work in the United States, for their charitable initiative.
