The leader of the “Fair Armenia” Party Norayr Norikyan writes on his Facebook page:

“Following the events taking place in the Constitutional Court, I can state that a person with a clear political position cannot be an impartial judge, cannot administer justice, and has nothing to do in court.

I am truly convinced that as a result of the constitutional amendments this court should be dissolved and a Supreme Court should be created, which will have a chamber of constitutional justice, the members of which will be exclusively highly qualified lawyers-scholars and persons with many years of impartial, non-corrupt and highly qualified judges, persons with the reputation of a non-corrupt judge, who will not be under any political influence.

I am also convinced that state resources should not be wasted for such inefficient activities.

The Constitution and the Legislature must ensure that the arguments and evidence underlying the applications for resolving such disputes are so invulnerable and well-founded that not only their admissibility is mandatory for the Court, but also the judicial act published as a result of the examination of the case should have a cornerstone importance in the development of the right to vote. Otherwise, we will have to constantly witness water beatings and nonsense,” he wrote.
