The “Free Homeland” Bloc has issued a statement, which says:
“The team of the “Free Homeland” Bloc visited the cities of Tavush, Alaverdi and Stepanavan on 11 June within the framework of the election campaign. Campaigns were held in these cities. The citizens applied to the leaders of the bloc and the candidates with their questions.
People asked questions about the environmental issues, the cooperation with the ruling and former ruling forces. The following theses were voiced in Andrias Ghukasyan’s replies, the candidate for prime minister of the “Free Homeland” bloc. “We fundamentally reject any political alliance and union with both Nikol Pashinyan and his team, as well as with Robert Kocharyan. We consider both of them responsible for the current situation in Armenia; we do not see any edges of cooperation with them.”
“It is necessary to make full use of existing opportunities for international assistance to improve existing biosphere reserves in 50 percent of the country and create new reserves,” he said. “The state-protected wildlife area should be at least 10 percent of the country’s area, and 40 percent of the area should be planted with forest to create new ecological complexes,” the statement said.
