The issue of the election of the Prime Minister will be discussed on 10 May, at 12:00, at the special sitting of the National Assembly convened by force of law.
The NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan informs.
It should be reminded that today, on 3 May, the decision to elect Nikol Pashinyan as Prime Minister was not made by 1 for, 3 against, 75 abstentions.
It should be noted that the NA “Prosperous Armenia” faction did not participate in the sitting. Lilit Makunts, the leader of the “My Step” faction, said that the “My Step” faction will abstain from voting for the candidate for the post of Prime Minister in order to make it possible to dissolve the National Assembly.
Notably, on 25 April, the “Citizen’s Day”, Nikol Pashinyan resigned. After his resignation, the parliament will not elect a prime minister twice. Then the National Assembly will be considered dissolved and special parliamentary elections will be held. Elections in the country are scheduled for June 20.
