Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which the issue of the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict was touched upon as well.
The Kremlin Press Service reported.
“Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised Russia’s steps to ensure further stabilization of the situation, the continuous implementation of the trilateral statements of 9 November, 2021 and 11 January, 2021. Vladimir Putin briefed the Turkish President on the results of recent contacts with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Both sides agreed on the need to intensify the rehabilitation of transport infrastructure in the South Caucasus,” the statement reads.
