On 14 January, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision stating:

“Pursuant to Article 9, Part 5 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Public Service”, to relieve the head of the State Control Service, David Sanasaryan, from his post.”

It should be reminded that Davit Sanasaryan had informed earlier that he had submitted an application to resign. “For almost two years now, I have been removed from the opportunity to serve as the head of the SSS due to an illegal criminal case,” he said.
