US Department of State announced Russia’s presence in Nagorno-Karabakh “risk of destabilization”

Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs R. Clarke Cooper claims that Russia’s presence in Nagorno-Karabakh carries a “risk of destabilization.”

“RIA Novosti” news agency reported.

During Cooper’s press conference, an Azerbaijani journalist asked him how the US intends to help countries in the region resist Russian influence.

“You have noticed, and I definitely agree with this remark, that where there is a Russian presence in this case, there is a risk of destabilization and, of course, a challenge, to all states and parties that participate there (in what is happening – ed),” replied Cooper.

According to him, the United States advocates the need for peace negotiations and the participation of the Minsk Group in them.
