“Operation “Gyorbagyor-2020” of the Armenian side in the forests near Shushi and neighboring villages continue, the saboteurs in groups of several people try to enter the city by climbing rocks and put up a flag, but it does not work,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan, representative of the Ministry of Defense said.

He noted that the city could not be captured by saboteurs, but they want to put an Azerbaijani flag in Shushi for propaganda purposes. “The climbers are small groups of 5-10 people. We hit them, roughly speaking throw down, approach, and see, there is a flag in everyone’s pocket. It is clear, they are in a disgraceful situation aren’t they? They want to do something symbolic,” he said, adding that November 9 is Flag Day in Azerbaijan.

According to Hovhannisyan, Aliyev claims that they are attacking Shushi, but this is the first time we see such sort of an attack. “I do not know of such a war that you go to look for, find the attacker, and destroy. There are groups of 15-20 people, we find them, we hit 1-2, and the others run in another direction. These groups are hiding in dense forests, trying to attack in another direction.”

According to Hovhannisyan, the situation could be favorable for the Azerbaijani side only if they could have made a breakthrough in the direction of Martuni, but they tried for 3-4 days, and failed. It means that the process of massacring their separate groups will continue.
