Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity and does not recognize the “occupation” of Crimea, RIA Novosti reported.
The Turkish President stated this at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in Ankara.
“Turkey views Ukraine as a key country in terms of ensuring stability and security in our region. Therefore, we have always supported, will continue to support the territorial integrity, sovereignty of Ukraine. Together with Ukraine, we will continue to support the Crimean Tatars,” Erdogan said.
The Ukrainian leader thanked Erdogan for his readiness to participate in the “Crimean Platform” project, which aims to return the peninsula to Ukraine.
