The European Court of Human Rights has rejected Turkey’s application to lift the interim measure imposed on it.
The court upheld the decision to apply an interim measure based on the application of the Republic of Armenia stating that Turkey should refrain from violating the rights of the civilian population protected by the Convention.
It should be reminded that on 6 October, the ECHR decided to apply an interim measure against Turkey.
The decision particularly says:
“The court reaffirms its decision on the application of an interim measure of 29 September and calls on all States directly or indirectly involved in the conflict, including Turkey, to refrain from actions that would contribute to br5eaches of Convention rights of civilians and to respect their obligations under the Convention.”
