Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz suggested that the representatives of Baku and Yerevan meet in Vienna and hold direct talks to find a solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Kurtz expressed concern about the ongoing escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh, saying there was no military solution for the conflict, and called for an end to hostilities in support of negotiations under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
“I expressed my hope for a peaceful solution in a call with Armenian PM Nikol Pashiyan today and reiterated our offer to host another round of talks between the two parties. Austria has always been a place for dialogue and we will continue to promote de-escalation and direct talks,” Kurz wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office reported that Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.
