The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called on the parties to the Karabakh conflict to reconcile and urged foreign powers not to intervene.
“We are against the conflict becoming international. We believe that outside forces should stay out of it. We call for a ceasefire. We want both sides to back down. We have talked to the leaders of the two countries, urging them to do so,” Pompeo told Fox News.
“We hope that in the coming days they will understand that violence will not resolve ethnic-political conflicts and disputes, that the existence of third parties will only complicate the situation,” Pompeo added.
