The residents of Javakhk blocked the Georgia-Turkey interstate road in the village of Kartsakh in the Akhalkalaki region and banned the movement of trucks. According to Jnews, people blocking the road say that Turkey is supplying weapons to Azerbaijan through this road.
According to the media, at the moment the tension in the village has decreased, the road is almost open. Incumbent member of the Georgian parliament Samvel Manukyan is in Kartsakh, as is former MP Samvel Petrosyan. The police is mobilized on the spot.
“Unless the Georgian-Armenian border opens and our aid reaches Armenia, Turkish trucks will not enter Georgia,” said Javakhk residents who blocked the road.
