Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toghanyan told RIA Novosti that his visit to the Russian Foreign Ministry was not connected with the request for support.
“No, these are unrelated issues,” Toghanyan said in response to a question.
According to him, Yerevan has not yet applied to the CSTO for help in connection with the situation around Nagorno Karabakh, but the situation may change after Turkey shot down an air jet belonging to the country’s air force today. The issue of applying to the CSTO is currently being discussed.
The ambassador added that an announcement will be made in this regard.
