In response to numerous media inquiries, the Office of the 3rd President of the Republic of Armenia informs that the Third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, underwent a medical examination this year, on 2 September, he was diagnosed with an acute respiratory infection accompanied by fever and is recovering.

“After sampling for the diagnosis of coronavirus, the test result was negative,” the statement said.

It should be reminded that on 3 September, Serzh Sargsyan was not present at the court session on the case of the Third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and others, due to the deterioration of his health condition.

His lawyer Amram Makinyan submitted a medical document to the court. “He was examined by a relevant doctor and acute respiratory infection was registered. He is not in a medical institution.”
