The WHO has announced the Minimum Age for wearing a Mask

The World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) do not recommend requiring children under the age of 5 to wear masks due to the COVID-19 epidemic, according to a bulletin published on the WHO website .

“Children under the age of 5 should not be required to wear masks. It is based on the safety of the child and the ability to use the mask properly,” the guideline says.

If a child is 6 to 11 years old, according to the WHO and UNICEF recommendations, a number of factors must be considered when deciding to use masks. These include the level of spread of the virus in the area where the child lives, the child’s ability to use the mask safely, proper adult supervision, learning, and the potential impact of wearing a mask on social development, as well as the availability of protective masks, the ability to change and wash them.

The WHO and UNICEF recommends that children over the age of 12 wear a mask under the same conditions as adults.

According to the latest WHO data, more than 22.8 million cases of infection have been detected in the world, more than 795 thousand people have died.
