On 6 August, the government decided to change the procedure for granting deferment of compulsory military service.

Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports presented the question to the members of the executive.

According to the amendment, citizens with significant achievements in science and education will be provided the opportunity to continue their education in the best higher education institutions in the world, to receive quality education, as well as to regulate deferred citizens on other grounds question according to the RA Law on Military Service and the Status of Serviceman.
