Today, on 16 June, Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan presented in the National Assembly the petitions on giving consent to initiate criminal prosecution against Gagik Kolya Tsarukyan, NA Deputy, and on giving consent to deprive RA National Assembly Deputy Gagik Kolya Tsarukyan of his liberty.
Vahagn Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Counting Commission, presented the results of the secret ballot on giving consent to deprive Gagik Tsarukyan of liberty.
87 deputies took part in the voting, 87 deputies voted for, 0 against. The decision has been made.
Thus, the deputies agreed to deprive Gagik Tsarukyan of his liberty.
Notably, as a result of 87 votes in favor, Gagik Tsarukyan had already been deprived of his parliamentary immunity.
The two opposition forces of the National Assembly, the “Bright Armenia” and the “Prosperous Armenia” parties, did not take part in these voting.
