She made a statement: “NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan stated that there is a case confirmed in the staff. It’s about me. I don’t see a problem in not speaking out, especially when some news outlets have already managed to spread misinformation without my consent. Unfortunately, I had COVID-19 confirmed yesterday.

I started to fever on 2 May. According to some media reports, I have had fever for a long time. Believe me, I realize the extent of my responsibility, besides, you know very well that every day in the National Assembly a thermometry is performed. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t enter the NA building with temperature, they wouldn’t let me.

As I have already mentioned, I had fever on Saturday, 2 May, and I informed my immediate supervisor about it. We have made a decision that I will not go to work until we find out the reasons. The last time I went to work was on Thursday, 30 April. At the time, I could not have guessed that I might already be infected. Next, some media outlets wrote that I had participated INTENSIVELY in the sitting of the State and Legal Affairs Committee. I was in the hall for about 5-10 minutes, there is a video.
