Kotayk Governor Romanos Melikyan informs: “Taking into account the fact that recently there has been a lot of talk about the Charentsavan community of Kotayk region in connection with the recent confirmed cases of coronavirus infection, I consider it necessary to inform that we currently have 81 officially confirmed cases of coronavirus in Charentsavan community.

I am hopeful that we have managed to isolate all possible contacts, except for the mentioned number of our citizens, who receive treatment mainly in “Nork” Infectious Diseases Hospital, many of their contact families and citizens have been isolated by the state in the quarantines of our rest-homes in Tsakhkadzor. They are regularly tested and under the daily supervision of doctors.

I assure that everything has been done in our beloved Charentsavan to stop the spread of the infection and stabilize the situation. At the moment, we can state that the situation is completely under our control.

At the same time, in order to prevent the spread of the infection in Charentsavan, a number of social initiatives and programs are being implemented as a result of cooperation between the community and a number of businesses,” he said.

It should be reminded that as of 11:00 on 3 April, the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Armenia was 736, of which 43 were recovered, 686 were actually treated, 3258 were negative tests, and 7 were fatal.
