State of Emergency declared in Kazakhstan: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia on Entry Restrictions

According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on 16 March, at 08:00 am, a state of emergency is declared in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ensure the safety of the population of the Republic and to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) virus. The state of emergency will be in effect until 15 April at 7:00 am.

Starting 16 March, foreigners, including RA citizens, will be temporarily barred from entering the territory of the Republic of Armenia by all means of transport. At the same time, the restriction of exit from Kazakhstan will not apply to RA citizens returning to Armenia.

 This restriction shall not apply to stateless persons and foreigners of the following categories:

Members of the diplomatic service of Kazakhstan and other countries and their families; Members of delegations of foreign and international organizations arriving in Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Persons having the right to reside in Kazakhstan; Members of the families of citizens of Kazakhstan.
