Arman Babajanyan, a member of the National Assembly, says:
“I urge the officials of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia to consider temporarily suspending the operation of all minibuses to Echmiadzin.”
He also mentioned church rituals.
“There are numerous churches in Echmiadzin and adjacent settlements.
Tomorrow is the Great Lent on Sunday of the Divine Liturgy, and a sacred service is ordained in all churches.
The liturgy should be conducted without the presence and participation of the believers.
We will be pleased to note that in view of the state of emergency in our country, particularly in Echmiadzin, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin under the leadership of His Holiness Karekin II, made such an urgent assignment and circular.
PS Such a restrictive order would be appropriate for all churches in the capital and in the country.
