The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan presented the passport of the RA citizen to our 105-year-old compatriot Nurhan Boghos Yosupovich.
“It is a great honor for me to hand you the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Armenia. From now on you are a proud citizen of the Republic of Armenia,” the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister had a conversation with Mr. Yosupovich, inquired about his wellbeing and wished him good health.
Nurhan Yosupovich was born in 1915 in Turkey. At first they lived in Istanbul with their families, and then moved to Ankara. His father was a merchant, a hat maker. He brought materials from Italy and sewed hats locally. It has provided everything possible to get a good education for children. Nurhan Yosupovich received his education at a local Italian school. It has always stood out for its progress, and it is no accidentally that he has been in the focus of Italian specialists. After completing his education, he worked for some time at the Italian Embassy in Turkey. Initially he worked as a secretary on cultural affairs. This is how he began his diplomatic career. Later, Nurhan Yosupovich worked at the embassy as the third secretary of the military attaché, then second secretary, and completed his diplomatic career as first secretary.
He left to Italy when he had already retired where he lived for some time. And h moved to Armenia months ago. Grandfather Nurhan has no children, his mother and wife have died, and now he lives in Armenia with his sister’s and cousin’s family.
