The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has begun preparing for the possible spread of internal coronavirus, including recommendations for the use of medical masks. The Verge drew attention to the fact that the use of masks by people with different types of facial hair is low.
The infographic shows 36 types of beard and mustache. Experts believe that the mask is practically useless for men who have long and wide beards. It crosses the seal of the respirator and does not protect against bacteria. However, most mustache species do not interfere with the effectiveness of the mask.
