As we have already reported, Anna Javakhyan, a member of the “My Step” faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, had appealed to Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan with a proposal to revise the limitations of the justified sick leave, as children are left out of kindergarten. The offer was rejected.

The Iravaban.net learnt this from Anna Javakhyan.

“The offer was rejected. However, the answer clearly stated that “taking into account seasonal illnesses the responsible officials of this section have been instructed to consider these absences among children attending kindergartens in preschool educational institutions as justified” .

And above all, always remember that the Constitution and legislation of the Republic of Armenia stipulate that every child has the right to education. If any children are excluded from the kindergarten as a result of justified absences, please contact the municipality, and in the case of the provinces also to the regional administration, the Ministry of Education and Science.”
