Civil Aviation takes Steps to prevent the Penetration of the New Coronavirus from China in Armenia

In order to exclude the possible penetration of the “New Coronavirus” infection in Armenia from China, the Civil Aviation Committee cooperates with the Ministry of Health, as well as the Health and Labor Inspectorate, and is constantly pursuing the information provided by the international organizations such as the World Health Organization, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to reduce the risk of the spread of the infection.

The Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Armenia publishes the bulletin provided by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) (Coronavirus 22019-n-CoV Infections-Operational Recommendations).

In connection with the spread of the “New Coronavirus” infection in China in 2019, the RA Civil Aviation Committee, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Inspectorate of Health and Labor Inspection, has initiated and developed an “Address Book of Resident Passengers for the Protection of Public Health” as a preventive measure and are provided to the passengers arriving from disadvantaged countries from the aspect of epidemics, in particular from China (the cards are filled in on the aircraft and, upon arrival, provided to the medical staff at the checkpoints).

The border inspection posts at the airports of the Health and Labor Inspectorate regularly monitor the arriving passengers (including transit) of the RA by conducting surveys, remote electronic thermometers, and, if necessary, organizing medical assistance.

The Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Armenia will continue carrying out its activities on the basis of the epidemic situation resulted by the “New Coronavirus 2019″situation.
