After the incident on January 23 at the “Erebuni Plaza” Business Center, when the name of the young man who had shot and taken hostages (Arthur Torosyan) was already known, the social media and media began to write that the latter is a supporter of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

As it is known, the office of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan is located in Erebuni Plaza. According to critics, the prime minister’s supporter went there to avenge as a result of the hatred instilled by Nikol Pashinyan towards Robert Kocharyan.

This is reported by the “Information Checking Center” information platform operated by the government.

However, there is no evidence provided on Artur Torosyan’s being the supporter of the power and  Nikol Pashinyan personally. Instead, looking at the young man’s Facebook page, we can clearly see that the latter is not one of N. Pashinyan’s supporters but one of President Robert Kocharyan’s supporters. He had made a note in August 2019, hoping that Kocharyan would be released. It can easily be verifierd by looking at his Facebook page.
