On 10 January, Croatia informed the European Council and the General Secretariat of the Council of Europe about the completion of the domestic procedures necessary for the ratification of the Armenia-EU Agreement, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan said on her Facebook page.
Thus, Croatia became the 18th country to complete ratification.
Anna Naghdalyan added that Sweden, Slovenia, Belgium and France have also completed the domestic procedures necessary for ratification of the agreement, but have not yet informed the General Secretariat.
The Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the EU was signed on 24 November 2017 in Brussels. Almost 80 percent of the provisions of this document have entered into a provisional application. In order to be able to apply the Agreement fully, for the ratification or entry into force of the Agreement by all EU Member States, the necessary internal procedures must be completed.
