Four Days later I was given a Corpse with no Organs, and the Corpse was blackened; Mother shows Photos

The mothers are protesting in front of the General Prosecutor’s Office against the illegal adoption of children. They demand the arrest of Razmik Abrahamyan, director of the Republican Maternity Hospital.

Mariam Khachatryan, who gave birth on 8 March, 2019 at Erebuni Maternity Hospital, had a baby in her 7th month of pregnancy. She said she had no problems during pregnancy.

“The child lived for three days. It is clear that all 7-month-olds are born with underdeveloped lungs, so they need to develop. They brought my child and told us that we could go home together in three days. Three days passed, at 5 o’clock pediatrician, Ashotovna woke me up with ironical smile, and told me that my baby had died, that she was ill, and that I was were ill as well. They put me in a bad situation, I call my husband, and they all came. They came and ask for my child, I said, ‘show my child so that there is proof,’ to know that he is dead, and if the problem was in me I would go and heal. They gave no children, no evidence, nothing. Only Norayr Nverovich wrote some papers saying that I was guilty. So if I’ am guilty, why everywhere I went, they examined me, and said I was in good health,” she said.

She also noted that four days later they gave her a corps of the baby with removed the organs and was told that they needed the organs. “They took out a baby which was all black. I even taken a photo so that I could say ‘who that baby was,’ it was not mine. It was all black and bigger, and my baby was born small,” said the woman, adding that the body was not given to them. They just showed it.

According to Mariam Khachatryan, her child was taken for adoption. I had a question, “Why they had taken to the baby to Republican Maternity Hospital?” “They told us that they did not have morgue, and  moved the corps to the Republican Hospital. I said, well, if the baby is dead, give me the organs, I’ll have a double-check. They didn’t give, and said, ‘We need those organs.’

As previously reported, Razmik Abrahamyan, Director of the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology,  Deputy Director Arshak Jherjeryan, Director of the Yerevan Children’s Home SNCO Liana Karapetyan and 2 other persons were arrested.

The investigator filed a motion with the court to select detention as measure of restraint against him, which the court denied. The RA General Prosecutor’s Office has already appealed the decisions of the Court of General Jurisdiction to the Court of Appeal of the Republic of Armenia regarding the application of measures restraint against three of the five persons involved in the mentioned criminal case.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the investigator had presented substantial arguments and suspisions in the motion regarding to selection of arrest as measure of restraint against Razmik Abrahamyan in the connection of the alleged actions that he is accused of; thus according to the prosecutions assessment the court’s ruling is not substantiated.

An earlier appeal has been filed in the case under Article 34-168 (2 – 2) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia against the decision to use the bail as an alternative measure to the citizen D. Grigoryan another accused in the case. It was accepted to proceedings.
