A criminal case on the grounds of official negligence by public service officials. has been launched on the fact of leaving the country at the Zvartnots border crossing point by the former judge Samvel Uzunyan. The Prosecutor’s Office informed Iravaban.net about this.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the case initiated under Article 315 (1) of the Criminal Code has been admitted to the Special Investigation Service.

Notably, on December 20, the Supreme Judicial Council, having examined the petition of the Acting Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia petitions to initiate prosecution and consent to deprivation of liberty the former Chairman of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts, decided to grant petitions, and agreed to criminal prosecution and imprisonment of Samvel Uzunyan.

Uzunyan, 65 years-old, is the judge hearing the October 27 case.
