As we have already informed, Deputy Minister of Justice Anna Vardapetyan has been dismissed.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s November 8 decision states that Vardapetyan was released under Article 9(1) of the Law on Public Service, which reads:
The Prime Minister appoints and dismisses Deputy Minister upon the recommendation of the Minister.
This means that the Deputy Minister was not released on her own request.
Notably, Anna Vardapetyan held the position of the adviser to the minister before being appointed Deputy Minister. She was appointed Deputy Minister by Nikol Pashinyan’s April 4 decision.
It should be reminded that on the same day Tigran Khachikyan was also appointed Deputy Minister of Justice , who announced on July 17 that he had resigned from the post of Deputy Minister of Justice. Reasons for his resignation, he told us: “The Minister said that I did not fit in Concept of his Team.”
It should also be noted that Rustam Badasyan was appointed Minister of Justice on 19 June by the decree of President Armen Sargsyan.
