Based on the operative information obtained by the General Department of Combating Corruption and Organized Crimes of Police, factual data was obtained that the former head of Shengavit administrative district having no relations with Shengavit Charitable Foundation, which was founded by his brother, in the period of 2012 – 2017, had sent official letters of financial assistance to legal and natural persons operating in Shengavit, which resulted in the collection of 25,000,000 drams, violating the legitimate interests of the state and organizations.

The police report.

During the preparation of the materials it was also revealed that the director of the aforementioned charity fund, being the head of the financial department of the Shengavit district administration, with intention of stealing, and with the knowledge of the head of the district, under the pretext of receiving funds from the cash of the entity by some officials of the office, prepared  official documents in the name of the mentioned staff, withdrew the and embezzled the funds entrusted to him. According to the known data at the moment of examination, the total amount is 3․318․000 AMD.

The police has launched a criminal case. The director of the Shengavit Charitable Foundation has been arrested. The criminal case was sent to the Investigative Committee for further investigation. The circumstances are being clarified.
