NA MPs have introduced to the National Assembly the Draft on amendment and addenda to the RA Labor Code.

The draft foresees provision for defining limitations on the extension or renewal of the employment contract concluded for the same work of the same employee at the same employer.

At the same time, based on the principle of sustainability of employment relationships, all employees are given the opportunity to conclude an employment contract with an indefinite term for working concurrently with a view to ensuring equal application of that principle, as the conclusion of a fixed term employment contract is not justified by any fact.

The existing regulation implies implicitly that a contract with a contractor should be signed for a certain period of time. The proposed amendment stipulates signing a labor contract with the persons working concurrently for a definite period only if the employee has applied for it in written or has provided a written consent.
