On 30 April, the training on “Development of Competitive Project Proposals” was held for the coalition created in the framework of the Capacity building of Inter-Regional Coalition to Deal with Issues of Children with Disabilities project implemented in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
The Coalition is implementing in Armavir, Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor marzes a sub-grant project “For Quality and Accessible Inclusive Education and Social Support” funded by the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project financed by the European Union.
Ms Meline Ayvazyan, representative of “Armavir Development Center” NGO, which coordinated the project, presented to the participants the mission and objectives of the coalition and the ultimate goal it pursues.
“The objective of our coalition is to establish the inclusive education in Armenia and protect the rights of children with disabilities. The goal is to see the relevant changes in legal acts regulating the sector, to have a revised and more effective curriculum and standards for parent and teacher training, to conduct a public awareness raising campaign,” she said.
It was also mentioned that the ultimate goal of the coalition is to see children with disabilities provided with affordable, accessible and social services based on their needs. By 2021 to have uniform standards of service developed and defined by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, at least one social support centre for assessment for children with disabilities.
The training participants were presented the information on resources available to CSOs, how to organize fundraising, how to apply for grants, how to work with the text of the statement, and to develop their own ideas with logical tables and different sections of the application, to make financial planning and organize the types of budgets, and to submit the grant application.
