“Today in the mass media a recurrent misinformation has been disseminated by Hayarpi Sargsyan, as if her defendant, the armed group member Hovhannes Harutyunyan, who is in the penitentiary “Prisoners Hospital” of the RA Ministry of Justice, is kept in severely poor conditions with no specialized medical treatment or healthcare”, this was mentioned in the message disseminated by the Penitentiary Department of the Ministry of Health.
The tendency of the young advocate to establish and advertise herself through all the possible ways is of course understandable, however the Penitentiary Service is assuring once more that the information is just a rumor with no match to the reality.
As regards to the speculation that the surgery of Hovhannes Haruyunyan is intentionally delayed and for those who neither trust the in the penitentiary “Prisoners Hospital” nor the specialists from Erebuni M/C and require the conclusion made by the doctor they suggest and who allegedly was not allowed to the penitentiary, let us mention the following.
Serob Mkhchyan, the doctor suggested by Hovhannes Harutyunyan’s relatives, visited the above mentioned detained person on 24.08.16 and after examining him agreed with the penitentiary of the “Perisoner’s Hospital” and with the traumatologists from Erebuni M/C that Hovhannes Haruyunyan will be ready for the surgery about 2 weeks later.
Taking into the account the fact that the advocate’s strategy of misleading the society through spreading misinformation has been ongoing, we are currently discussing the question of sending a relevant letter to the RA Chamber of Advocates.
