A while ago member of the Founding Parliament Albert Poghosyan announced the Liberty Square that Zhirayr Sefilyan was the one who proposed that the “Sasna Tsrer” group surrenders. He said that the group members had laid down arms.
“Many will assume that this step is not logical but in fact the most important step was taken. It was intended to maintain hostility in Armenia after the bloodshed that happened between the police and the citizens. However, Sasna Tsrer, after waking the spirit of freedom inside the people, have decided today against going with the desire of the external forces. They didn’t want to contribute to the realization of their plans and laid down their arms,” noted Mr. Poghosyan.
